Well done, Lily! When I taught 6th grade work geography was part of the curriculum and Europe was a 6 week unit. You’re off to a great start in creating your map and learning the location of the countries. Try also to learn the capitals of these countries. With all the traveling you have done already and the travel ahead, you will learn world geography this year along with some history and culture of the regions. How exciting for you!

Lily, this is a fantastic map! and all from memory, wow! I would say the only thing this map is really missing is Russia – which is in fact the only country in the world that is actually in two continents, Europe and Asia – the western third, west of the Ural Mountains, is in Europe – this is where Moscow the capital is. And the eastern two thirds, east of the Ural Mountains, is in Asia – this is where you’ll find Siberia – it stretches all the way to China and the Pacific Ocean – and right up to within about 25 miles from Alaska! Great job Lily! Uncle Keith
